Police "Blogger" July 20th, 2009

Someone in our house was guilty.

Guilty of criminal damage to property.

Who could have done such thing? Someone with a twisted criminal mind? I stood in my pajamas surveying the damage, wondering which of the usual suspects committed such a heinous crime.

And why? Why would anyone think THIS was a good idea. It was a brazen act which ruled out Lou, Lou. It was an act requiring the perpetrator to be more than 30 inches tall with dexterity to master a pair of scissors...that ruled out Ladybug and Southern Gentleman. That left only one person.

I was able to apprehend the suspect when he returned to the scene of the crime.

Upon questioning, he admitted to his involvement and pointed out the weapon of mass destruction. Mom's keys.

More specifically, the swiss army knife scissors on Mom's keychain.

He also admitted his involvement with another similar crime in another location. He was a cereal criminal...committing the acts even before he had eaten his breakfast.

I'll give him one thing...he was persistent in his desire to cut apart the shades. It must have taken a while with his tool of choice.

The criminal pleaded guilty to the charge of Criminal Damage to Property and was sentenced to giving up all 10 pennies (good behavior pennies) for the day.

He told the judge he was very sorry and so was his hiney.

Big Brother

Bub loves Ladybug. He is her protector. He is patient with her and kind when he doesn't feel like it.

He is also onery and naughty sometimes and he pushes my buttons daily with his "antics."

So every now and then it is good to remind myself of his attributes! He is passionate, adventurous, and emotional. It is my job to direct those characteristics in a positive way. Not easy...but then, who ever promised it would be?

Here's to all those Moms out there who try their best, fail more often than they would like and love fiercely in their imperfections! Focus on the positive! Hang in there. I'm told that this phase of life will be over before I know it. Some days it isn't quick enough. Seriously.

Dinosaur Fun

This past weekend we took a vacation to Kansas City to celebrate Papa's 70th birthday (Doc's Dad)! We got to have dinner at the T Rex Restaurant at Legends Mall!

This big guy greeted us on the way in!

It was a lot to take in. Eye candy everywhere!

SG got a little freaked out by the RAWRING dinos. Fortunately, Papa was around!

This was the view from our table!

SG said, "Look, Mom, an elephant!"

Ladybug was intrigued by the fish!

Of course we had to visit the gift shop area!

SG warmed up to the whole dinosaur things and we had to try out the hats and be dinos ourselves!

We had so much fun! If you are ever in the area, you should check it out!

So Much Beauty

I love sunsets.

Especially the kind that makes it look like the sky is catching fire.

And I especially like it when I download a picture that takes my breath away without any editing!

I also love it when two beautiful things are captured together in one picture...

kinda like this one...

Summer Fun!

As you can see, we've had a little fun this summer! Here's scenes from the little impromptu fiesta!

Apparently the water was posing a threat and needed some wicked cool karate moves to set things right!

Tire swings are much more fun when you swing into the water!

The adventure seeker strikes again. It just ain't a party until the gator comes out. That's just how he rolls.

After water fun, the bubbles came out!

Bub caught one!

This is my sweet neighbor, Christina and her son! Isn't she beautiful!

We marked a couple of things off our Summer Adventure list with our party! Check out Meg's post...I stole the list idea from her! I'm so proud to have her as a fellow Kansan blogger! She rocks and her blog is rock chalk full of eye candy!!

Here Comes the Bride

This past weekend Doc and I were blessed to attend our niece's wedding. Her groom is just precious! We wish them the best as they start out their life together! We love you guys!

I thought I'd share some of the memories!

The littlest flower girl being escorted to the wedding by Papa!

The two flower girls were just precious. The little one is the bride's littlest sister and my sweet niece!

The maid of honor was the bride's other sister. She's gorgeous!

Here comes the stunning bride escorted by her dad, Doc's brother.

She carried a beautiful bouquet!

The wedding was just lovely!

My favorite photo...the Bride and Groom make it official!

The bride handmade hundreds of origami flowers for the table centerpieces!

She also handmade the origami birds that were on the place cards! Just beautiful!

The proud parents, Doc's brother and sister-in-law and our youngest niece!

The proud grandparents of the bride, Doc's parents!

Doc's sister (I'm the oldest in my family and she has filled the role of MY big sis) and brother-in-law!

Doc and I were blessed to be there and had so much fun.

Me and my niece (who Ladybug strongly favors)!

I will end this post with a HILARIOUS video...this ring bearer's got mad dancing skills.
